Abayomi Jolaoso, the managing director of Safequip Nigeria Limited and one of the Boys that dominated the Lagos social scene in the 90s is dead. He died yesterday after a brief illness.

His untimely death came to other Big Boys as a rude shock

In his lifetime, Abayomi was a jolly good fellow and a philanthropist of note.

He impacted positively on everyone that came in contact with him, little wonder his Lagos residence has turned to a mecca of sort as family, friends and sympathizers thronged there to sympathize with his immediate family members.

Abayomi took the social scene by storm in the 90s and enjoyed his life to the hilt.

He came to the limelight as local artistes sang his praises endlessly, he complimented their efforts by spraying crisp notes in foreign and local currency.

Afro juju musician, Sir Shina Peters dedicated a track in his album eulogizing Femi Otedola, Lanre Tejuoso, Kweku Tandor, Kola Abiola, Segun Awolowo and Abayomi’s deep pockets and social prowess
