This is good news for one of the five abducted pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) as the Ogun State Police Command few hours ago rescued one of the five pastors abducted by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The Command, in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said one of the victims, Deaconess Ibelegbo Chidinma, was rescued unhurt.

He assured that the remaining four abductees would be rescued from the kidnappers’ den safe and sound.

The statement reads, “The Ogun State Police Command has rescued Mrs Ibelegbo Chidinma the only woman amongst those abducted on Thursday unhurt.

“The woman who is a Deaconess of The Redeemed Christian Church of God regained her freedom in the early hour of today 3rd of August 2019, and she is currently at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta where arrangement is being made to take her to the Redemption Camp.

“Efforts is on top gear to rescue the remaining victims as the kidnappers who kept them in separate locations were changing their locations from time to time within the forest.”

It would be recalled that the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced the abduction of the clerics on Friday at the Redeemed Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Adeboye, while charging the congregation to pray for the release of the abductees, said the abduction took place on Thursday along the Ijebu-Ode axis.

Others still held captive by rhe hoodlums are Pastors Chidioze Eluwa, Chiemela Iroha, Okoro Ohowukwe and Ndubuizi Owuabuez.
