Doyin Abiola

One of the wives of late Chief MKO Abiola, the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, Dr Doyin Abiola, has passed on. She reportedly died at the age of 82.
A dependable source said she died at exactly 9.15 pm yesterday after a brief illness.
The former managing director and publisher of National Concord was the first Nigerian woman to be an editor of a Nigerian daily newspaper.
