Former Governor of Sokoto State and ex-Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, is set to spend his first night in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged fraudulent cash withdrawals to the tune of ₦189 billion.
A dependable source who craved for anonymity informed NATIONAL WAVES that Tambuwal was detained shortly after being interrogated.
The source hinted that the withdrawals were in flagrant violation of the Money Laundering (Prevention & Prohibition) Act, 2022.
Tambuwal we reliably gathered arrived at the EFCC Abuja corporate headquarters at about 11:30 am and and faced interrogators on the alleged financial crime.
