This is the sad story of how a senior female Federal Road Safety Corps officer, Mrs Lasisi Funmilayo and her daughter, Sewa were murdered by her male friend and herbalists.

NATIONAL WAVES gathered that on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Funmilayo and her young daughter, Sewa accompanied her friend, one Victor Benjamin Fajemirokun, a married man whose family lives in Osun, to Osun State.
When they got to Osun, they went to the home/den of a Herbalist, Victor and late funmilayo moved to a secluded place behind the herbalist’s house. At some point, they killed Funmilayo and dismembered her into over a dozen pieces. They later confessed that Victor insisted that he wanted to use Funmilayo for rituals because if he does not, he would never make it in life.

Meanwhile, the woman’s daughter was outside playing with the children of the herbalist while they slaughtered and dismembered her mother.

They removed the body parts they needed and disposed her remains in a shallow river. After they murdered the woman, they took the daughter inside a bush, killed her, removed her body parts and left her remains right there to rot.

Victor (probably suspecting he had slipped up) then faked his own kidnapping. He turned off his phone and parked his car along Ikire expressway in Osun State. The windows were rolled down and the key was left in the ignition.

His wife didn’t hear from him for a few days. She decided to go to the church her husband had told her he was going to. On her way to the church, she saw her husband’s car parked by the road and she contacted the police, suspecting he had been kidnapped.

Police swung into action, they got to the location, did their investigations through questioning of people in the area which the vehicle was found and they suspected foul play in the whole thing. The people around said the car had been there for a few days and they don’t know the owner.

Police through their investigations found out that Victor had called a particular number over a dozen times in the days leading to his disappearance, police traced the number and found out that it belonged to a man in Osun. They also learnt that the man they traced is a herbalist. A popular one on Tik-tok.

Police then sent an undercover agent to the place to act like they were there to see the herbalist, as the man sat down asking questions, the herbalist got a tip off and disappeared.

The police launched a manhunt for him and tracked his phone a place called to Ijebu-Ijesha in Osun State.

They deployed plain clothed, tactical officers to arrest him, but on their way to the village that night, the policemen’s Camry car broke down (they didn’t use a van or marked police car this time). While they were looking for help, a man walked past them, they asked the man if he knew any mechanic around, the man said, No, that he doesnt stay in the village.

Then one of the officers placed a call to the people who recognize the herbalist and the description they gave matched, as they asked him to stop, he ran into the bush, but the policemen followed him, after about an hour, he was arrested.

He was interrogated, the herbalist then confessed that he, alongside others killed a woman. He denied knowing anything about the daughter, and gave the police the whereabouts of another herbalist who was part of the act. That the second herbalist would know.

Police traced the second herbalist to somewhere in Ekiti State, and he was arrested there. Both of them then led the police to the bush where they left the remains of the little girl.

The first herbalist alleged to be involved in the murder of Funmilayo and her daughter is very popular on Tik-tok. Search this account (@/abere.ifa13).

Victor later fled to Ghana but was arrested by the police.
