Popular and talented Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has revealed why she kept the birth of her daughter from the public for two years.
The beautiful actress choose to reveal the news of welcoming a baby girl over two years ago on her birthday.
Adunni Ade made the revelation on Sunday through an Instagram post, where she published pregnancy photos alongside an image showing her daughter’s tiny hand.
In her message, Adunni explained that the decision to keep the birth away from public attention was intentional, as she and her family preferred to enjoy the moment in peace.
“Today, on my birthday, I’m finally sharing what we’ve protected for over two years,” she wrote.
She described the journey as emotional and deeply personal, noting that it came with silent challenges and moments that tested her strength, but also brought gratitude and joy.
Adunni stressed that her choice was not driven by secrecy but by her desire for privacy and calm away from public pressure.
“We chose privacy. Not because we owed anyone secrecy but because peace is priceless, and not everything good needs an audience. We wanted to enjoy our blessing,” she said.
The actress also addressed public assumptions about single motherhood, saying people often misunderstand personal situations and attach unnecessary stigma to them.
“Not every single mother fits your assumptions. Not every story is scandal. Not every blessing comes with drama attached,” she added.
She described her daughter, whom she called Baby Sal, as a long-awaited blessing and a testimony of answered prayers after years of waiting.
“God gave me mine. Fully. Peacefully. Intentionally. A journey of almost a decade. Our baby girl, our answered prayer, my evidence that God still writes beautiful stories in His own time,” she wrote.
