The truck and the officer

A Vehicle Inspection Officer whose name could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report has been crushed to death by a truck opposite Mega Primary School, along Hospital Road, Akure, Ondo State
According to a video seen by NATIONAL WAVES on Friday, residents were seen shouting following the fatal incident.
According to a resident, Mrs Aiyedun, the officer tried to intercept the truck by jumping in front of the truck which was on speed and was knocked down, a submission yet to be verifier.
The officer was reportedly trapped beneath the truck after the truck struck him, leaving residents at the scene in distress.
The video also showed some of the officer’s colleagues panicking as they watched the incident unfold. Residents could be heard shouting while people gathered around the scene.
