This is the story of how Williams Fubara, a100-level Psychology student of Madonna University, Okija, Anambra State, waa allegedly assaulted and beaten to death by fellow students over allegation of being a Gay
According to information shared by friends online, the deceased who was a very bright student, was subjected to sustained harassment over several months, reportedly due to his perceived effeminate mannerisms and suspicions about his sexuality.
Friends of the deceased insisted that they possessed messages, testimonies and other personal records allegedly documented by him prior to his death, detailing his experiences and identifying individuals he believed were responsible for the harassment.
It was also alleged that in earlier incidents within the institution, some students had faced disciplinary measures, including suspension, over accusations of harassment involving fellow students.
Fubara was reportedly hospitalised after developing severe medical complications, including repeated seizure episodes. He was later admitted into intensive care (ICU), where he died.
