The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Duoye Diri, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made this announcement through his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, who posted the development on his Facebook Page on Wednesday.
According to the post, the governor has resigned from the party alongside the 19 House of Assembly members in the state.
While it is unclear where he is headed, it is generally believed that he would join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). It also ended the speculation about his reaction to the unending crisis rocking the opposition party.
