A new twist has surfaced regarding the death of the Deputy Director of the ministry, Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda who was allegedly assaulted by the commissioner of the Delta State Ministry of Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, driver and his orderly before he breathed his last as the
Delta State Chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has declared an indefinite strike in the state following this ugly incident.
The State NLC chairman, Goodluck Oforbruku, declared the strike on Friday while addressing protesting civil servants at the Chike Edozien secretariat in Asaba.
Recall that the workers at the State Secretariat in Asaba had earlier shut down the complex after the death of Adedah.
The deceased civil servant reportedly died after he was tied up and beaten mercilessly by thugs allegedly on the orders of the Commissioner for Secondary Education in Delta State, Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu.
