The United States of America (USA) has in conjuction with Isreal launched major combat operations” against Iran.

The US President, Donald Trump who announced early Saturday that the United States has begun “major combat operations” against Iran, in what he described as an effort to eliminate imminent threats from the regime in Tehran and prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.

In an eight-minute video posted on Truth Social, Trump urged members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and police forces to lay down their arms immediately, promising full immunity if they comply, while warning that defiance would lead to “certain death.”

Trump also called on Iranian civilians to remain indoors for their safety, as strikes were underway in multiple areas across the country. He urged the Iranian people to prepare to “reclaim your government,” stating that the operation could pave the way for regime change and that “it will be yours to take” once the regime’s military capabilities are destroyed.

Israel is participating in the operation, which began with preemptive strikes early Saturday morning. Israeli officials described their actions as preventive measures against Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

Explosions have been reported in Tehran and other cities, with smoke rising over parts of the capital.

The strikes follow weeks of stalled nuclear negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, during which Trump repeatedly warned Tehran of severe consequences for failing to reach a new agreement.

In a related development, Iran has vowed to retaliate the attack, Iran announced the intention for a “devastating retaliation” against the U.S. and Israel’s airstrike on its territory.

Reuters reported on the same day that Iranian officials stated, “We are preparing a retaliatory attack against the joint supply of the U.S. and Israel,” and added, “We will respond thoroughly.” Iranian officials emphasized, “Our retaliation will be devastating.”

Iranian defense sources stated, “Iran is highly likely to retaliate with missiles within hours.” Iran has previously warned multiple times during nuclear negotiations with the U.S. that if the U.S. were to launch a preemptive strike, it would unleash massive ballistic missile retaliation against over 10 U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

It was reported that the U.S. and Israel conducted widespread strikes on key facilities, including Supreme Leader Ali Hamei’s office, the residences of the president, ministers, and military leadership, as well as the Defense Ministry and intelligence facilities.

In this regard, Reuters cited an official and reported that Hamei is currently not in Tehran and has relocated to a safe location. Hamei has not appeared in public in recent days as tensions with the U.S. have escalated. Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported, “The health condition of President Masoud Pezeshkian is very good.”
