Muhammudu Musa whose name appeared on the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential campaign list has rejected his appointment as a member of the campaign’s New Media Committee.
Muhammad Murtala Musa D Provost announced his rejection in a statement dated September 7, 2026, addressed to the APC.
Musa said his attention was drawn to a published list containing his name as a member of the New Media Committee of the APC Presidential Campaign Committee for the 2027 election.
He said the committee is under the leadership of Dada Olusegun, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on New Media.
He wrote “I hereby categorically and emphatically reject this so-called appointment for this reason,” Musa stated.
He said he would instead use his energy to promote any candidate who promises to restore the petrol subsidy if elected president in 2027.
“I will use my energy to marketing (sic) who promises to restore the petrol subsidy if he wins the 2027 presidency even President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
Musa also said he was unwilling to defend politicians whom he blamed for the hardship being experienced by Nigerians.
“I am not among the citizens defend the people who created their suffering,” he added.
His rejection comes as political parties and politicians begin preparations for the 2027 general elections, with campaigns and realignments expected to intensify ahead of the polls.
