Alleged harassment of a Lagosian by SARS operatives… Five Policemen quizzed

The last seems not to have been uncovered in the alleged harassment of one Immanuel James Ibe-Anyanwu by operatives of the SARS at Ago Palace Way, Okota as further enquiry into the allegation which was in line with the directives of the hardworking Commissioner of Police of Lagos State revealed the true identity of the officers entangled in the highly regrettable incident.

According to a statement signed by SP Chike Oti, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer and made available to National WAVES, the officers numbering five, are from the Ipakodo Base of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS)  and not the Ikeja Unit as previously reported.

The names of the policemen are Inspector Taiwo Omojope, Inspector Arigidi Ebibor, Sergeants Rotimi Adesoba, Olalekan Olakunle and Friday Oni.

They are currently undergoing interrogation  at the Command’s X-Squad Section and would be marched before an Adjudicating Officer at the Police Provost Department for the commencement of their orderly room trial.

Meanwhile, Inspector Jude Akhoyemta earlier mentioned in the matter was found to be innocent,
