Nigeria wins big in the just concluded Nawada International Film Festival Awards ( NIFFA ) season 6, 2026 in India as Dr. Ope Banwo’s Aiflix360 Films won in 4 Major categories., Documentary, Animation, Foreign and Feature film on the 4th of January , this year.
According to Rahul Verma the festival director, he said they had over 2300 entries from over 80 countries, but Nigeria leads in 4 categories.
Banwo’s Aiflix360 Films, that won is an AI-first film studio, an innovation in film making from Nigeria which pion the next wave of cinematic storytelling, the first of it’s kind to showcase in international film festival. Hence an eye opener for more Nigerians to showcase their expertise and skills in films using AI.
Awards at a Glance , the categories and titles, the first being, Best Documentary Film, the entry is Wakanda Is Real won by Nigeria., Dr. Ope Banwo.
The second award title, is Best Animation Film, the entry is Detty December won in the Director: category by Dr. Ope Banwo
The third award title is *Best Foreign Film , the entry is Guardians of Naija won in the Director’s category by Dr. Ope Banwo
While the forth is Best Feature Film, entry is Talent Hunt, also won in the Director’s category by: Dr. Ope Banwo.
