Oba Adedokun Abolarin

In a spate of six months, the traditional ruler Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba (Dr.) Adedokun Abolarin, has lost his mother, Mama Mary Ibiteye Abolarin and his wife, Olori Solape Christianah Abolarin.
His mother was buried early this year..She died ending of last year.
Details surrounding the death if Oba Abilarin’s wife is still sketchy.
However in a brief statement announcing her death, Chief Jibola Awoseyi Asojuoba aenjoined the people of Orangun Oke Ila in Osun State to extend their condolences to the king at this time of difficulty.
“Gentlemen, it’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olori Solape, wife of Kabiesi Orangun Oke Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin.
“Please extend your condolences to our father and friend during this difficult time. May her soul find eternal peace.”
Curiously, late Olori Solape Christianah Abolarin is the king’s only wife
The bereaved King was once asked “You have one wife while many monarchs have three, four or more. Why did you choose to be monogamous?
He said ,”With what I am doing here, I can’t afford to keep many wives.
“If I do, I don’t think I will be able to do what I am doing.
“Each of them (wives) will be struggling to have their share of the empire.
