The publisher of Eagleonline, Dotun Oladipo, is dead.

Oladipo reportedly died on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, after he suddenly became sick
Gathered that he experienced some health complications while in the office and decided to drive himself to the hospital, but suffered what was suspected to be a heart attack while receiving emergency attention.
Learnt that Oladipo visited the gym with his wife earlier on Tuesday before the ugly incident reared its head.
He also remained active on social media throughout the day, with his last known post reportedly published at about 2:50pm, just a few hours before the news of his death started spreading among friends and professional colleagues.
Oladipo was the Managing Editor and Chief Executive Officer of Premium Eagle Media Limited, the company behind The Eagle Online, which he founded at a time when Nigeria’s digital news industry was still in its formative years.
