By Our Reporter
Recently former Big Brother Naija ‘shine your eyes’ finalist Pere Egbi took to social media to campaign against the emergence of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the next president of Nigeria.
The Nigerian reality TV star criticised the duo on his Twitter handle on Monday afternoon.
In his post, the BB Naija finalist stated that Nigerians can do better than voting any of the aforementioned politicians into power.
His tweet reads `So many people who shouldn’t be President of Nigeria, Atiku and Tinubu are on that list. We can do better than these two. SMH`
NATIONAL WAVES can authoritatively inform you that Pere resorted to criticizing Atitu after his move to join the Atiku campaign team failed
According to a reliable source, Pere had tried to join the Atiku campaign team albeit unsuccessfully.
Pere met Atiku and canvassed him on the need to set up a youth wing of his campaign team but the proposal was turned down by Atiku.
Pere who was earlier given the sum of N5million by the first lady of Kogi State, Rashida Bello on the same project had expected Atiku to literally grease his palm but that was not the case.
This development angered Pere and he took to his Twitter platform to criticize Atiku.
Pere made headlines recently when he denied having an amorous relationship with the first lady of Kogi State, Rashida Bello.
A Nigerian U.S-based journalist and publisher of Pointblank News, Jackson Ude, in a now-deleted viral tweet, alleged that the reality TV star and Rashidat Bello are lovers.
Mr Ude, a former director of strategy and communications under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, caused a stir on social media after making the claims on Tuesday.
The ex-president’s former media aide claimed that the news of the alleged affair is a subject of discussion in Abuja.
Mr Ude also alleged that they had been sighted several times at the Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
He also claimed the First Lady gave Pere N5 million naira when they first met.
His tweet read: “Why is #BBNaija Pere Egbu all over with Kogi First Lady, Rashida Bello? Gist around Abuja says they are lovers. Egbi and Mrs Bello have been sighted several times at the Hilton Hotel Abuja. The gist is that when they first met, the First lady gifted Egbi N5 million.”
Reactingg to the allegation Pere wrote: “For the records, the publication about the First Lady of Kogi state and me is a demonic lie and a figment of a diseased imagination of Jackson Ude and those retweeting that rubbish, they must answer me in court both in Nigeria and in the United States of America where he is based.”
