Actor Akin Olaiya and estranged wife, Nafeesat Feenah Hammed

Nafeesat Feenah Hammed, the estranged wife of popular Yoruba Actor, Akin Olaiya, has opened up on why she left her marriage in less than one year after she married the actor.
In a video seen by NATIONAL WAVES, Nafeesat said after she had gone through pains and maltreatment, her husband married her best friend.
“I’m not here to tell you people everything that happened while I was with my ex-husband. I left everything to God to handle. All I can say is that after maltreatment and pains, the man marries his wife’s best friend. What do you call that? Nafeesat asked.
She denied insinuation making the rounds on social media that had infection and infected her husband with Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD).
‘I don’t know they got that from. I don’t have infections”
Nafeesat also countered those who said she abandoned the marriage because of wide age gap.
“Yes the age gap between I and my ex- husband is wide, for me, that is not a barrier as long as I like him. I didn’t leave because of the gap in age.
It would be recalled that the actor announced the end of his marriage to his wife few days back.
He stated that the decision followed several unsuccessful attempts to resolve differences after his wife allegedly moved out of their matrimonial home.
Olaiya further disclosed that his marriage to Nafeesat was celebrated on June 29, 2025, at the Central Mosque, Sabo, Mokola, Ibadan, in the presence of their families and loved ones.
According to the actor, the crisis started not long after the wedding when they were scheduled to attend an event in Lagos. He claimed that his wife later informed him that she was no longer interested in going for the engagement.
He alleged that before his return home that day, Nafeesat had packed her personal belongings and left the house without prior communication.
Olaiya said he made several efforts to resolve the matter, including reaching out to his wife and meeting with members of her family in a bid to restore peace and save the marriage.
However, he stated that all reconciliation attempts proved unsuccessful as his wife allegedly remained firm in her decision not to continue with the relationship.
