The Founder and President of the Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG), Comrade Joseph Angodeme Evah has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to direct the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to renovate the house of late Chief Moshood Kasimawo Abiola, winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election,.
Evah made rhis appeal when he visited the house of late politician in Ikeja, Lagos State.
He said “I’m not happy with the state of this building. I know many of you Journalists are also not happy with the state of this building. Let us not continue to deceive ourselves. It is wrong for this building to be in this state. Anytime June 12 anniversary is coming, the President should direct the Lagos State governor to renovate this building. The South African President, the Zimbabwe President and the Namibia President are radicals like Gani Fawehinmi, like Femi Falana, they might want to come to visit the building. Is it proper for them to see the building in this dilapidated state?
Evah continued ” Please I’m appealing to the President to direct Lagos State governor to renovate this place, so that by the time we come here to celebrate the June 12 anniversary next year the house would have taken a good shape”
