The members of the Rivers State House of Assembly have commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
This development was as a result of the crisis that has bedevilled the state in recent times.
Its a known fact that Fubara and his predecessor, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike have literally been at daggers drawn for some time.
The impeachment process is being driven by lawmakers loyal to the Speaker of the House, Martin Chike Amaewhule, who is widely identified as a key ally of Wike.
