Unknown to many, former Minister of Petroleum and Energy, late Prof Tam David West battled with death for 11 days as he was admitted to a private suite of the University College Hospital Ibadan.
Inspite of all the efforts put in place by doctors to save the life of the octogenarian, he died on Monday morning at 11.05, this much was corroborated by the Public Relations Officer of the UCH, Mr. Toye Akinrinlola in a chat with newsmen.
When newsmen prodded further on the cause of David West’s death, Akinrinlola avoided the question and said, “He was brought here over a week ago and admitted to a private suite.
A family member who escorted the deceased to the hospital but preferred anonymity said, “We took Baba to UCH precisely 11days ago when he took ill. That is all I can say for now. He sounded with a note of finality.
