Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Ogun State.
The announcement was made by Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, during an ongoing stakeholders and strategic caucus meeting of the party.
Adeola was unanimously endorsed by party leaders at the meeting, which is currently underway.
Speaking at the gathering, Abiodun expressed confidence in the senator’s ability to succeed him, describing him as a leader with strong intellectual capacity.
“He will build upon the work we have done, and I have no doubt about his capacity to take Ogun State to greater heights,” Abiodun said.
Responding to the nomination, Senator Adeola thanked stakeholders for the opportunity and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.
