President Bola Tinubu has removed Mr Kayode Egbetokun as the Inspector General of Police.
Egbetokun is to be succeeded by Tunji Disu, the Assistant Inspector General of Police overseeing the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
Although the plan has not been officially announced, sources in the presidency and the police headquarters informed NATIONAL WAVES that Egbetokun was asked to resign after meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the presidential villa, Abuja over some undisclosed issues.
