The scene of the the accident involving Dangote truck, insert: Alhaji Aliko Dangote

Olayiwola Akanbi has called out the chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote over the demise of his brother after a Dangote truck rammed into his tricycle last December.
Speaking exclusively to NATIONAL WAVES, Akanbi said the truck driver took to his heels shortly after the accident and efforts to locate him failed.
“My brother was the bread winner of his family, he provided for his family by working with his tricycle, his life was cut short on account of overspeeding by the Dangote truck driver who crashed into his tricycle and up till now, no compensation from the owner of the truck.
Akanbi continued “The tricycle was damaged beyond repair, we have been running from pillar to post to cater for my late brother’s wife and two children”
It would be recalled that last December 17, 2025, a Dangote Sino truck rammed into three tricycles, and a minibus in the Iyana Meiran area of Lagos State and claimed two lives
According to a statement shared on the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority‘s official X handle, the injured victims were evacuated to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
The statement reads, “There’s a report of a fatal road crash involving a Dangote SINO truck, 3 tricycles and a Mini Bus (Korope) at Iyana Meiran inward Meiran road by PHC.
“Safety cones have been placed around the scene, and Police Officers are on the ground.
“two fatalities recorded, and Casualties have been taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention.” The statement reads
