Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu
If our findings are anything to go by then the Governor of Lagos State Mr.Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu may be charged for contempt of court in an ongoing Baaleship tussle in Agidingbi ,Ikeja,Lagos State.
Gathered that the Baaleship tussle is a subject of an ongoing trial before the Hon.Justice Adenike K.Shonubi of High Court of Lagos State in Ikeja Judicial division in a case between Chief Ishola Makanjuola,Chief Musibau Bakare,Chief Kayode Adesanya (Suing for themselves and council of Baale in Agidingbi),Prince Jamiu Ojurongbe , Alhaji Ganiu Adeyemi as applicants and Mr.Ganiu Haruna(Deceased) and substituted with Abdul Wahab Tolulope Oladapo Mogaji,The Hon.Commissioner , Ministry of Local Government and community Affairs,The Executive Governor of Lagos State,The Attorney general of Lagos State, Chairman Ikeja Local Government as respondent.
The Hon Justice Shonubi has fixed between July 6and 7 for the trial in the Baale of Agidingbi tussle which has been on since 2016 .
Investigation further revealed that despite waiting for the outcome of the trial the Governor of Lagos State and his agents are considering the imposition of a candidate on the people of Agidingbi which is a flagrant disobedience to the court order.
A source close to the applicant stated that they (applicants) may be filling for a contempt of court if the installation of a new Baale is carried out without the determination of the ongoing suit.
