Eminent citizen and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has urged Nigerians to keep faith with democracy, urging citizens to fully support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s sweeping reforms, aimed at repositioning the economy, which he says has started yielding positive results. He acknowledged there are pains and difficulties, but these according to him ” are temporary and necessary sacrifices that citizens out of patriotism will have to pay to enjoy a better future, adding that” Tinubu ought to be commended for having the courage to institute bold reforms which were inevitable at the time, without which the economy would have collapsed.
Araraume disclosed this in a press statement to commemorate June 12.
” I’m using this occasion of June 12 to appeal to our country men and women to reelect President Tinubu come 2027 to complete the ongoing reform of public finance, the economy and taxation, at the end of the day, the country will be better for it.
He noted that June 12 represents a watershed in the annals of Nigeria’s history and democracy.
He noted that the ongoing security challenges are being addressed by the government, citing neutralization of key commandeers of terror groups, saying the military have done well in carrying out the President’s order to make Nigeria safe once again.
” On terrorism, killings and abductions, government is doing its best, and we must commend our armed forces, in no matter the challenge will be a thing of the past”, he said.
According to him, for Tinubu to succeed, he needs the support of Nigerians, adding that governance is not a one way drive, but involves patriotic participation of the citizens in form of paying tax, supporting the policies of the government and giving intelligence to the security operatives to fight crimes and criminalities.
