The permanent legislative quarters of the Lagos State House of Assembly is expected to gulp the sum of N20 billion for the construction of fencing and drainage channels.
This is contained in the Lagos State budget for the 2026 fiscal year.
As Captured in the budget, a sum of N20billion is earmarked for the construction of fencing, drainage channels and and the covering of gutters within the legislative quarters.
The budget description reads: “Construction of new fence and drainage channels at the Permanent Legislative Quarters, covering of gutters 20,000,000,000.00 (N20 billion),” with N500 million already spent between January and March 2026, representing expenditure recorded during the first quarter of the year.
The allocation ranks among the major infrastructure projects captured in the House of Assembly’s budget and exceeds several other capital projects planned by the legislature for the year.
