Few days after a businesswoman, Tarcy Ohiri, accused Minister of Works, Dave Umahi of owing her and later retracted allegations of sexual harassment and unpaid contract claims, an unidentified woman has openly confronted a House of Representatives member, Billy Osawaru, accusing him of betrayal and failure to repay money she allegedly invested in his election.
Osawaru represents Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency. He was captured in a viral video with the woman, who claimed she made personal sacrifices, including selling her gold and taking loans, to support his political ambition.
In a video seen by NATIONAL WAVES, the visibly angry woman, surrounded by a crowd, repeatedly accused the lawmaker of abandoning her after securing victory, while demanding immediate repayment.
“He is using MOPOL to do the wrong job. Look at him. Look at a betrayer. Pay me my money. I sold my gold to do election for you. I borrowed money for you to do election. You’re a betrayer,” she shouted.
Details surrounding the incident remain sketchy, as at the time of filing this report.
